As of May 1, 2026, the total number of active licenses for the right to retail fuel trade was 5399, compared to 5,240 licenses as of January 1, 2026 (+159). This was reported by the State Tax Service (STS) in response to a request from NaftoRynok.
At the same time, according to the provided information, during 2025 the number of licenses significantly decreased – by 2157 (7,397 as of January 1, 2025, against 5240 licenses as of January 1, 2026).
However, it is worth noting that earlier, in response to a request from NaftoRynok, the STS reported that as of January 1, 2025, there were 6574 registered licenses for the right to retail fuel trade in the country.
