The WOG gas station network, in partnership with the Dignitas Charity Foundation, has launched a charitable initiative titled «WOG Fire of Help: Raising Funds for Robots for the NGU Azov Brigade». This was announced by the network's press service.

Details

Starting April 1, every customer of the WOG gas station network who purchases any hot beverage automatically joins the fundraising effort. WOG has committed to transferring 2 UAH from every cup sold to the Dignitas Foundation's account. The project aims to purchase robotic complexes for the needs of the 20th «Liubart» Brigade of the 1st Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine (NGU) «Azov».

As noted by the commander of the 20th «Liubart» Brigade, Vadym Krykun (call sign «Yankee»), ground robotic complexes enable the execution of tasks such as evacuating the wounded and delivering ammunition in areas with a high risk to personnel lives. According to him, the availability of such systems allows units to hold their positions and repel enemy assaults.

Hennadii Karlinskyi, Marketing Director of the WOG gas station network, emphasized that the use of robotic complexes is a daily necessity on the front lines for logistics and evacuation tasks.

According to Liuba Shypovych, Director of the Dignitas Foundation, the current situation at the front is characterized by total drone control of the sky, making infantry movement on the «last mile» critically dangerous. Replacing manpower with technology, in her assessment, is a necessary step to save the lives of Ukrainian defenders in the context of a highly technological war.

For those who do not have a WOG gas station nearby or are currently abroad, it is possible to support the fundraiser by transferring funds directly to the Dignitas Foundation's account. The charity project will run through June 30 inclusively.
