The «Production Support Center» branch of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia has announced a tender for the purchase of 80 tank containers. This was revealed in an announcement on the Prozorro platform.

The procurement of these specialized tank containers is being carried out within the framework of the «Ukrainian Railways Modernization» project, which is financed by the European Investment Bank (EIB), wrote Volodymyr Shemaiev, head of the tender committee of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia, on his Facebook page.
The subject of the procurement under Lot №1 includes tanks, reservoirs, containers, and high-pressure vessels. The expected value is almost 79.94 million UAH.
According to the company's plans, the tank containers will be transferred to the balance sheet of the «Lisky» branch, which specializes in intermodal transportation. Along with a parallel tender for the purchase of 50 reefer (refrigerated) containers, this procurement is aimed at expanding the branch's fleet to handle new types of cargo — from food industry products to petroleum products.
The acceptance of tender proposals from manufacturers will remain open until April 8, 2026.
According to Volodymyr Shemaiev, during 2024–2025, EIB project funds were used to support Ukrzaliznytsia's freight operations with the purchase of 115 tank wagons for the 1435 mm gauge manufactured by Tatravagonka; 252 container flat wagons for the broad gauge produced by TAS-Dniprovagonmash; as well as 9 units of specialized transshipment equipment.
