The creation of a new European oil supply route was discussed during a working meeting in the Republic of Poland by the chairman of the board of PERN S.A. Myroslav Skovron and the General Director of Ukrtransnafta Volodymyr Tsependa. This is reported on the Facebook page of Ukrtransnafta.
It is possible to implement this route thanks to the construction of the Brody - Adamova Zastava oil pipeline, which will connect the Ukrainian and Polish oil transportation systems. The parties highly appreciated the degree of readiness of the project for implementation. The project will provide for the possibility of oil transportation in reverse and obverse directions - from Poland to Ukraine and from Ukraine to Poland. This will give Ukraine the opportunity to receive oil from the Baltic Sea, and for Poland and other EU countries (after the unblocking of Ukrainian Black Sea ports) - oil from the Black Sea, Ukrtransnafta reports.
"The project has gained particular urgency in view of the unprecedented challenges to the security of energy supplies to Ukraine and the countries of the region due to Russian military aggression against Ukraine," the company says, adding that the Brody - Adamova Zastava project corresponds to the European energy policy aimed at diversifying routes supply of energy resources to the EU market.
