Ukrtransgaz, a member of the Naftogaz Group, and RAG Austria have signed a protocol that establishes a list of equipment that the Austrian partners are ready to transfer to Ukrtransgaz as humanitarian aid to expand the emergency stock of UTG equipment.
Roman Malyutin, CEO of Ukrtransgaz, and Markus Mitteregger, CEO of RAG Austria, signed the protocol.
Hydrogen storage
In addition, during the meeting, representatives of RAG Austria and Ukrtransgaz discussed the geological potential of Ukraine for hydrogen storage in oil and gas deposits and potential areas of cooperation in the field of green gas storage in underground gas storage facilities.
“RAG Austria AG is the largest operator of underground gas storage in Austria and has unique experience in the field of green gas storage. The exchange of experience will help us to introduce the latest technologies into the technological chain. We are grateful to our Austrian colleagues for their assistance with the equipment, essential for replenishing emergency stocks and responding to emergencies,” said Roman Malyutin, CEO of Ukrtransgaz.

The signing of the Protocol was preceded by a series of meetings with RAG Austria representatives and the processing of the list of equipment by Ukrtransgaz technical specialists.
