On January 29, Naftogaz of Ukraine and South Korean HD Hyundai XiteSolution signed a memorandum of cooperation, the press service of Naftogaz reports.
The relevant document was signed by Roman Chumak, acting Chairman of the Board of Naftogaz, and Moon Jae-young, Senior Executive Vice President of HD Hyundai XiteSolution. Anthony Marino, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Naftogaz, also attended the meeting.
What will the memorandum with Hyundai bring to Naftogaz?
The memorandum provides for the possibility of cooperation in several areas, including the involvement of modern construction equipment for energy needs, the development of services and training programs, and the introduction of advanced technologies.
HD Hyundai XiteSolution is a global leader in heavy equipment manufacturing specializing in construction equipment, infrastructure solutions, and smart technologies.
“Energy infrastructure is a target for enemy attacks, including the facilities of Naftogaz Group. Equipment is also damaged. Therefore, the need to repair or upgrade the fleet is significant. We strive to attract the best international technologies and solutions to improve the efficiency of Naftogaz, in particular, we are interested in cooperation with HD Hyundai XiteSolution,” Roman Chumak said.
On January 28, the South Korean company HD Hyundai XiteSolution opened its representative office in Ukraine. The company plans to create a customs and logistics hub for heavy construction equipment in Ukraine.
