Naftogaz Group is cooperating with the authorized ministries, agencies, and anti-corruption bodies to return assets to Ukraine. This is one of the important areas of the company's activities, which requires a coordinated position and synchronization of actions with all stakeholders. This is stated in the company's statement in response to the NABU and SAPO's request.
“Since NABU's request refers to the renunciation of the plaintiff's status in criminal proceedings, Naftogaz needs to coordinate with public authorities to make an informed decision and is currently making efforts to satisfy NABU's request,” Naftogaz said.
Naftogaz notes that protecting national interests is a common task of all Ukrainian government agencies. Only the unity and consistency of all parties involved will give the state's desired result.
On March 21, NABU stated that Naftogaz's behavior could lead to the loss of the possibility of returning UAH 1.6 billion from abroad.
