Roman Chumak, CEO of Naftogaz Group, met with Martin Harris, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom to Ukraine. The key issues discussed during the meeting were the current state of the energy sector of Ukraine, preparations for the next heating season, and prospects for bilateral cooperation. Naftogaz works despite Russian attacks
Roman Chumak emphasized that Naftogaz continues to work on strengthening Ukraine's energy security despite the ongoing attacks on energy infrastructure.
“We are grateful to the UK for its systematic support of Ukraine and the energy sector in particular. This assistance is truly invaluable. The support of partners is an important factor in the sustainability of Ukraine and the Ukrainian energy sector,” said the Head of Naftogaz Group.
He emphasized that Naftogaz Group is interested in cooperating with British companies to strengthen gas production in Ukraine.
British Ambassador Martin Harris expressed support for Naftogaz and emphasized its important role in ensuring the country's energy stability.
“Naftogaz is a heroic company that works in extremely difficult conditions to ensure Ukraine's energy security. The United Kingdom remains a reliable partner and friend of Ukraine, which is suffering from enemy attacks,” said Martin Harris.
