Naftogaz Group and Orlen have signed a new agreement to supply 100 mcm of LNG, the company's press service reports. This is the third contract under the partnership signed in the spring of this year. The total volume of contracted gas is 300 mcm.

The signing of the contract was announced at the annual Orlen Gas Meeting, a leading industry event dedicated to the region's energy security.

“This supply further strengthens the energy partnership between our companies and ensures a reliable resource for Ukrainian consumers. We are already preparing for the next heating season, and such contracts are an important part of our strategy to diversify supplies and ensure the country's energy stability,” said Roman Chumak, CEO of Naftogaz Group.

The gas will be supplied from the United States, regasified at the terminal in Świnoujście (Poland), and transported to Ukraine via the Polish gas transportation system.

“The new agreement with Naftogaz emphasizes Orlen's growing role as a natural gas supplier in the region. Our partnership significantly strengthens Ukraine's energy security thanks to Orlen's diversified supply portfolio and efficient use of the Polish gas transportation infrastructure. We remain committed to supporting Ukraine by providing it with access to stable and diverse sources of gas,” said Robert Soszczynski, Orlen's Vice President of Operations.
