Last week, an LPG tanker was received at one of the ports in the Izmail region for the company AT Energo Trade. The vessel MONA (IMO 9187837, formerly named SYN ZAURA) delivered 2,000 tons of liquefied gas from Turkey. The supplying company told NaftoRynok that this was the trader’s debut seaborne delivery of propane-butane as part of the expansion of its trading activities.

According to data from the navigation resource VesselFinder, the gas carrier MONA (deadweight – 4,175 tons) under the Panamanian flag left the Turkish port of Körfez on Sunday, August 24. The exporter of the LPG mixture, consisting of 30% propane and 70% butane, was the Turkish energy company Aygaz. The tanker will be unloaded at one of the Danube ports using the ship-to-truck method.

2025 vs. 2024
According to NaftoRynok’s estimates, in January–July 2025, the share of river and sea LPG supplies to Ukraine increased to 51.9% of total imports, compared with 22.5% in the same period last year. At the same time, the volumes of waterborne supplies doubled compared to 2024.
This year, Turkey accounted for 47.2% of tanker supplies, compared with 24.9% last year. Unlike the previous year, the main volume of shipments comes from Aygaz terminals (62%).
