According to the data on fuel pricing monitoring from the NaftoRynok consulting company, the prices for small bulk petroleum products were maintaining their upward trend during August 2023. It received support from the return of fuel taxes to the pre-war level, as well as from the increasing quotations in Europe.
Thus, the average price for small bulk diesel had increased by UAH 2.26, or by 5.1%, by the end of August 2023 compared to the beginning of the month. The average price for small bulk A-95 gasoline increased by UAH 1.00 (+2.2%) during the specified period.
In a similar way to the small bulk market situation, there was also an increase in fuel at Ukrainian gas stations. The average diesel price at gas stations had increased by UAH 4.28 (+9.0%) by the end of August 2023 compared to the beginning of the month. The average price for A-95 gasoline increased by UAH 3.92 (+8.1%) during August.

Analyzing the level of retail prices at gas stations of large chains, the prices for diesel at the BRSM-Nafta and UPG chains had increased the least, by UAH 3.60 (+7.9%) and UAH 3.90 (+8.1%), accordingly, by the end of August 2023, compared to the beginning of the month. As for A-95 gasoline, UPG and U.GO increased their prices the least over the same period, by UAH 3.90 (+7.8%) and UAH 3.91 (+8.0%), accordingly.
