General Director of Ukrtransnafta JSC Volodymyr Tsependa and Director of Naftogazbezpeka SE Oleksandr Malashko held a joint founding meeting chaired by acting head of the National Police, Ivan Vyhovskyi.
The meeting was also attended by representatives of the security department of Ukrtransnafta and law enforcement officers from the central and regional offices of the National Police.
The topic of discussion at the meeting was the detection of illegal interference in the activities of the main oil pipelines of Ukrtransnafta and the main oil product pipeline Samara - Western direction.
As a result of the meeting, the parties concluded a memorandum on several joint actions to increase the protection of the main oil pipelines of Ukrtransnafta on the oil product pipeline Samara - Western direction:
- implementation of preventive measures for prompt detection of possible illegal interventions in the operation of the oil pipeline infrastructure, as well as additional measures to increase the effectiveness of the disclosure of criminal offenses related to illegal intervention in the activity of main oil pipelines and oil product pipelines;
- audit of the state of pre-trial investigations of criminal proceedings initiated on the facts of illegal interventions in the operation of the oil transport infrastructure, in particular in 2022;
- an increase in the number of joint posts and outfits of the security police and security guards of the enterprise, which provide protection for the facilities of main oil pipelines and oil product pipelines.
