Ukrgazvydobuvannya JSC (UGV), which is part of the structure of Naftogaz of Ukraine NJSC and is the largest gas production company of Ukraine, according to the results of 2022, produced about 12.5 bcm of natural gas (excluding costs for own production needs), by 3% less than last year. This was reported by the company's press service.
It should be noted that in 2021, the company reduced natural gas production compared to 2020 by 4% - to 12.93 bcm. In the wartime year of 2023, the company stabilized the decline in production.
"Such a result became possible in the conditions when hundreds of production facilities and equipment units were shelled, many fields and hundreds of UGV wells were or still are under occupation or near the front line," the company notes.
Among other production indicators, UGV drilled 47 new wells in 2022, 3 less than last year. At the same time, the company's drillers set two drilling records for at least the last 15 years: monthly and daily penetration.
The company's specialists performed 74 hydraulic fracturings (fracking) operations against 105 in 2021, achieving another record - the largest number of operations by its own fleet per month.
During the year, the company carried out 191 overhauls of wells (against 243 overhauls last year), 486 operations with coiled tubing units (609 in 2021), and 2,333 geophysical operations (2,973 in 2021). Also, 141 wells were equipped with mechanized production systems, almost twice as many as in 2021 - 77 wells.
