The average daily natural gas production of Ukrgazvydobuvannya JSC (UGV) in July 2023 amounted to almost 38.5 mcm, which is the highest level in the last three years, since August 2020. This is evidenced by ExPro calculations.
In general, UGV produced more than 1.19 bcm of natural gas during July, which is 8% more than last year. In the first 7 months of 2023, the company produced almost 7.9 bcm of natural gas, 2% more than in the same period last year.
The company continues to gradually increase natural gas production, showing steady monthly growth over the past 7 months. Thus, the collapse of production caused by the full-scale invasion was stopped, returning to the pre-war level of gas production. Moreover, the company currently produces more gas than in 2021.
According to the head of Naftogaz Oleksiy Chernyshov, the company plans to increase the production of commercial gas by 8% in 2023 to 13.5 bcm (from 12.5 bcm in 2022).
To achieve these results, UGV intends to drill 336,000 m, 1.5 times more than last year. A total of 88 wells are planned to be launched in 2023, twice as many as last year.
