Ukrgasvydobuvannya JSC, a member of Naftogaz Group, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with 14 specialized educational institutions during a roundtable discussion, the press service of UGV reports.
As an employer, the company is interested in ensuring that graduates of specialized educational institutions have the necessary knowledge and practical skills for employment.
“The cooperation between education and business is mutually beneficial, as educational institutions get an opportunity for internships for their students, and our company educates talented specialists. This will allow Ukrgasvydobuvannya to be competitive in the future and make educational institutions attractive to applicants. At the same time, as a company, we cannot hire untrained specialists, because we have a serious production,” emphasized Sergiy Lagno, Acting CEO of Ukrgasvydobuvannya.
The participants also discussed how to develop partnerships with specialized educational institutions and eliminate gaps in the training of future oil and gas specialists.
“Today, our partnership has reached a new level by signing a Memorandum that brings together 14 leading specialized educational institutions. This is an important step aimed at improving the professional training and qualification of future specialists who will meet the modern requirements of the industry,” said Svitlana Oliynyk, Head of Human Resources Department at Ukrgasvydobuvannya.
The rectors also paid special attention to the issue of dual education, which is the driver of the development of professional competencies that meet the labor market's requirements. Such cooperation is expected to stop the outflow of young talents and ensure the sustainable development of the oil and gas industry.
