In the first half of 2024, Ukraine cut LPG imports by 8.4%, totaling 415,900 tons. This is reported in the June 2024 issue of NaftoRynok Monthly Fuels & LPG.
The western border remains the primary source of LPG imports, accounting for 61.4% of the total. In comparison, the western border accounted for 78.9% of LPG imports during January-June 2023.
Imports from Poland, Slovakia, and Hungary are gradually replacing those from the southern direction. For instance, BRSM-Nafta increased its river shipments nearly fourfold to an average of 6,500 tons per month, becoming a leading southern importer, slightly ahead of resource traders from the EcoNovatika transshipment group, now represented by VigasTrade. Previously, the SG Group supplied resources through Zakhidekotop, which has been liquidated since March 11, 2024, following suspicions of importing gas from Gazprom’s Orenburg Gas Processing Plant.
Earlier reports indicated a 34% decrease in gasoline imports to Ukraine in the first half of 2024, totaling 508,400 tons compared to the same period in 2023.
