Ukrgasvydobuvannya JSC (UGV), part of the Naftogaz group, in the last 8 months received about 120 generators of different capacities for a total amount of more than UAH 50 million. The press service of Naftogaz reports.

Generators received as a donor assistance from 11 countries. The supply of generators was made possible by the participation of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, which in the spring of 2022 began to work on attracting donors to support the permanent work of energy companies in war.

In particular, the UGV has received energy equipment from the United Kingdom, Poland, France, Sweden, Azerbaijan, Norway, Switzerland, Japan, Belgium, Lithuania, and Italy.

"Thanks to these generators, we produce gas regardless of electricity and continue to work on increasing our own production," said Naftogaz head Oleksiy Chernyshov.

“At the beginning of a full-scale invasion of Russia, regular interruptions in the supply of electricity led to a violation of our production processes and, therefore, to losses of production. The assistance of the government and foreign donors, which responded to our requests, has become important for stabilizing our work and extraction of Ukrainian gas. In the war, we managed to minimize the losses in gas production, and now we set a plan to increase it,” said the acting CEO of UGV Oleg Tolmachev.
