In June, Ukrgazvydobuvannya JSC, which is part of the Naftogaz Group, commissioned three highly productive wells with a total output of 425 tcm of natural gas per day. This was reported by the Naftogaz press service.
As noted, two wells are new, and the third got a new life after overhaul.
"Even despite the war, gas production continues actively. Ukrgazvydobuvannya drilled two new wells at the old field. This is a very good result, which was made possible by a deep analysis of the development and the use of the built 3D model. Such modern approaches made it possible to launch a total of 10 new wells at the field, the daily production of which exceeded 3 mcm," said Oleksiy Chernyshov, head of the Naftogaz Group.
Naftogaz notes that another well, which underwent an overhaul, operates in a field with almost 30 years of history. Before the overhaul works, the gas production from it was insignificant, but after transferring it to the overlying horizon, the well increased its production tenfold.
"During the first half of 2023, our company has already commissioned 11 highly productive wells with a production of more than 100 tcm per day each. Four of them produce more than 300 tcm per day. These are the indicators that are gradually bringing us closer to our goal of increasing gas production," said Oleg Tolmachev, acting general director of UGV.
As a reminder, Naftogaz plans to increase production of commercial gas to 13.5 bcm in 2023, 1 bcm more than the previous year.
