Since the beginning of 2023, Ukrgazvydobuvannya JSC (UGV) has doubled its wells geophysical surveys, the company's press service reports.

According to the company, in September 2023, specialists of the Geophysical Department of Ukrgazpromgeofizyka, a branch of UGV, made 266 trips to carry out geophysical surveys on wells. This indicator is a record of the entire history of the branch.

"We have upgraded the fleet of equipment, due to which we were able to transfer a part of geophysical studies operations to a 24-hour mode. The future plans provide for an increase in the scopes so that Ukrgazpromgeofizyka can fully meet our needs," said the acting CEO of UGV Oleg Tolmachev.

According to Tolmachev, over the past 1.5 years, Ukrgazpromgeofizika has been steadily increasing research volume. Over 2,000 departures were made in 9 months of 2023. This indicator is 50% higher than in the same period last year.

"Ukrgazpromgeofizyka performs over 80% of geophysical studies in Ukrgasvydobuvannya’s wells. These are works at various stages of the well life cycle - from drilling to commissioning. Their goal is to collect the maximum data on the hydrocarbon prospects," Oleg Tolmachev explained.

He also added that work on one well lasts an average of 3 days. Depending on the complexity of such works, 4-6 workers are involved.
