Naftogaz of Ukraine NJSC plans to continue increasing natural gas production next year. Oleksiy Chernyshov, chairman of the board of Naftogaz, announced this in an interview with Interfax Ukraine.
The preliminary planned production volume in 2024 is 14 bcm, which is 0.5 bcm more than the planned production in 2023 - 13.5 bcm.
"We are not changing this goal; we are going towards it and we are not giving up on the indicator of 13.5 bcm. We plan to continue increasing production next year," Chernyshov said.
According to the head of Naftogaz, the company is constantly working on increasing the quality of production potential, including new areas and deposits.
"The vast majority of our wells and deposits are exhausted, and we need to increase the volume of new deposits. We are actively conducting geological research and 3D seismic, we continue to invest in the Ukrainian economy," says Chernyshov.
