Naftogaz Group is committed to promoting the development of the Ukrainian market for goods and services for the oil and gas industry. 93% of contracts are concluded with Ukrainian suppliers of goods, and about 70% are for domestically produced goods. This approach is an additional factor of national security in times of war.

This was discussed during the conference Supplier Day of State-Owned Oil and Gas Enterprises: Plans for 2025 on November 4, 2024. The event was organized by Naftogaz Group jointly with the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.

“On average, up to 40% of each hryvnia spent on Ukrainian-made products is returned to the budget. In 2023-2024, Naftogaz ranked fourth in terms of bidding on Prozorro. As a result of the tenders, the company concluded contracts worth UAH 51 billion, and only less than 10% of them are contracts with foreign suppliers,” said Yulia Svyrydenko, First Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine.

According to her, Naftogaz Group is a good example of how to build procurement approaches in such a way that Ukrainian producers are aware of the plans and have access to a transparent procurement system.

In turn, Oleksiy Chernyshov, Chairman of the Board of Naftogaz of Ukraine, emphasized that the company remains one of the main drivers of the economy and feeds other related industries.

“Naftogaz Group is the largest investor in Ukraine with CapEx of UAH 62 billion. Thanks to the successful implementation of corporate governance reform, we operate following the best practices of the world's leading countries. In particular, this applies to our procurement. We are open and promote fair competition,” said Oleksiy Chernyshov.

Among other things, the event focused on the terms and procedures for procurement by the Group's largest enterprises, production needs, and plans for 2025.
