Oleksiy Chernyshov, Chairman of the Board of Naftogaz of Ukraine, stated that Ukraine is provided with natural gas reserves and expects the current heating season to end at the beginning of April. He informed about this yesterday on the national telethon.
"When do we expect local governments to turn off gas for heating? There is hope that we will be able to do it at the very beginning of April, but we will be guided by temperature indicators. If it is cold, the heat supply will continue. But we have to realize that this year we need to save,"
Chernyshov said. The head of Naftogaz also emphasized that the prices of natural gas for household consumers will not change during the heating season "regardless of its legal or actual end."
This year's heating season began in early November 2022 and was one of the later starts of the heating season in recent years due to warm weather.
