According to NaftoRynok, high-octane fuel import volumes demonstrated rapid growth, more than doubling compared to the same period last year, rising from 5.9 thousand tons to 12.6 thousand tons.

This is nearly double its volume from last year (3.7 thousand tons). The company's figures today are effectively equal to the combined imports of its two closest peers, OKKO and WOG, taken together.

It is worth noting that the competitive landscape has also intensified. While in the first quarter of 2025 UPG accounted for the bulk of high-octane gasoline volumes, 2026 saw large volumes enter the market from OKKO and WOG, which were barely present in the import statistics for this category last year. SOCAR also significantly boosted its supplies, from 0.8 thousand tons to 1.2 thousand tons. Grand Petrol (0.5 thousand tons) and Ukrnafta, which imported 0.4 thousand tons of fuel, are attempting to hold onto their market shares.
As a reminder, UPG has the largest number of filling stations offering high-octane gasoline.
