Ukrpaletsystem PE, which operates the UPG filling station network in the retail fuel market, made the largest number of deliveries of fuel from Europe by truck. This conclusion was reached by NaftoRynok analysts after analyzing importers' data for July 2023.
In particular, on average, 15 UPG tank trucks with gasoline (40% of the market) and 21 fuel trucks with diesel fuel (about 11%) crossed the border per day. According to statistics, in July, every sixth tanker truck with imported fuel was headed to UPG.
The largest suppliers of light petroleum products by road in July 2023 included companies: OKKO-Express, Paid, Octane 101, TD UNTK, PG Operator, Amic Ukraine, and Parallel-M LTD.
As UPG owner Volodymyr Petrenko said in January, the company is purchasing new fuel trucks, the number of which will reach 450 units. "We have signed contracts for the purchase of fuel trucks. Now we have about 400 of them, and in a month we will have 450. This is the largest fleet of fuel trucks in Ukraine," Petrenko said. According to him, infrastructure projects have significantly reduced the fuel delivery time, which was almost a month in 2022. In order to optimize logistics, the company has acquired its own railroad tanks and the largest fleet of fuel trucks in Ukraine.
NaftoRynok's note:
UPG Group is one of the three largest importers of petroleum products in the first half of 2023. Since the end of 2022, UPG has been actively developing the supply of petroleum products from the United States. Petroleum products are sold to industrial consumers (carriers, farmers, etc.) and car owners through UPG's own network of filling stations, which as of July 2023 included 83 complexes. In June, the company opened filling stations in Mykolaiv and Zhytomyr regions.
