On March 26, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) approved a new loan of up to €270 million for Naftogaz of Ukraine to purchase natural gas for the next two heating seasons. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.
It is noted that in addition, about €140 million in grants from the Government of Norway will be allocated through the EBRD for the purchase of natural gas.
“This resource will help us accumulate gas reserves in the underground storage facilities for the next heating season,” commented Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.
