The dynamics of the first half of the year were more favorable for the consumer. According to fuel price monitoring made by the NaftoRynok consulting company, the price for petroleum products at gas stations tended to decrease in January-June 2023. This was due to the decrease in prices for oil in the world (about 7.8%), the stabilization of the domestic market at the beginning of 2023, the increase in the directions of fuel supplies to Ukraine, saturation and surplus in the market as a whole. Wholesale prices for diesel decreased by 19.2%, to UAH 38.09/l, (with delivery as of June 29, 2023) in the first six months.
Thus, the average price for diesel at Ukrainian gas stations decreased by UAH 11.35 or by 21% in June 2023, compared to the beginning of the year. At the same time, the average price for A-95 gasoline during the specified period decreased by UAH 6.23 or by 12%. A-95 gasoline fell in price to UAH 44.09/l on average during June, diesel fuel - UAH 42.63/l.

If we analyze the level of retail prices at major gas stations, BRSM-Nafta and KLO have reduced their prices for diesel the most, by UAH 14.82 and UAH 14.10, respectively, at the end of June, in comparison with the beginning of the year. As for the decrease in retail prices for A-95 gasoline, the largest decrease occurred at gas stations of the Avantage7 and Ukrnafta brands by UAH 11.50 and UAH 10.51, respectively.
