As a result of a Russian strike on a Ukrnafta filling station in the Dnipropetrovsk region, three people were killed, including an 8-year-old boy, while six others were injured. Three people were killed in the enemy attack on the Shyroke community in the Kryvyi Rih district. The strike caused a fire. The filling station and several vehicles were damaged, Hanzha reported.
“Sadly, three people were killed. Among them was an 8-year-old boy,” the Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration said.
According to him, six more people were injured. All of them were hospitalized. A 49-year-old man is in critical condition. Men aged 53, 46, and 20, as well as women aged 51 and 60, are in moderate condition.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze caused by the strike, Oleksandr Hanzha added.
Photos released by him show that the destroyed filling station belongs to Ukrnafta.
Later, the press service of the Naftogaz Group confirmed that the targeted facility was a Ukrnafta filling station.
The company said that the victims included filling station operator Tetiana Mykolaivna Volkova, a visitor to the station, and an eight-year-old boy. Employees and customers who were on the premises at the time of the strike were among those injured.
“Our sincere condolences to the families and loved ones of those who lost their lives,” the state-owned company said in a statement.
According to the company, the filling station was attacked by a Russian rocket-powered drone.
