In May, the volume of AdBlue imports to Ukraine increased significantly compared to the previous month as the situation on the border with Poland improved. Polish farmers stopped protests on the border with Ukraine and truck traffic resumed.
In May, Ukraine received 2.42 thousand tonnes of AdBlue from abroad. This is 46% more than in the previous month and 32% more than in May 2023, shows customs data analysed by NaftoRynok.
Poland remains the main source of AdBlue imports to Ukraine with 88% share. Nearly all of this volume comes from the Grupa Azoty plant in Puławy, located near the Ukrainian border.
The share of Lithuania remained almost unchanged compared to the previous month, standing at 10%. AdBlue of Lithuanian origin is imported to Ukraine by «Borg Hiko». Imports from other countries were insignificant.
In May, «KPP Center», traditionally the largest supplier of imported AdBlue, sharply increased its purchase volumes after being forced to halt supplies in March due to protests. «KPP Center’s» share rose to 59% of the total import volume in May.
As previously reported by NaftoRynok, in March AdBlue imports to Ukraine plummeted by 4.5 times compared to the previous month due to protests on the border with Poland.
