The beginning of the russian armed aggression against Ukraine had a significant impact on the development of fuel retail. Since February 24, 2022, the relevant authorities in Ukraine received 38 gas station reconstruction applications, 12 of them being submitted in 2022 and 26 – in 2023. This is evidenced by the data from the Unified Environmental Impact Assessment Register analyzed by NaftoRynok.

The biggest number of stations was reconstructed in the Volyn region (7 gas stations). It is followed by the Chernivtsi (6 gas stations) and Lviv (5 gas stations) regions. Besides, four projects were published without indicating the implementation site (two of them belong to JSC "Ukrgazvydobuvannya"). It should be noted that these statistics do not cover all the infrastructure projects that actually had been implemented during the specified time: the official registration of some of them dates either to an earlier period, or, as is often the case, to the day of actual implementation.
