In 2023, Kyiv region (excluding the city of Kyiv) sold the largest volume of fuel (gasoline, diesel, LPG)  865,4 million litres, or 10,5% of total sales, with a total value of UAH 36,3 billion. This is based on data from the State Tax Service of Ukraine analysed by NaftoRynok.

In Kyiv city, the volume of retail sales was lower, namely 761,2 million litres worth UAH 33,5 billion.

In terms of territorial communities in Kyiv region, the maximum volume of fuel sold was recorded in Borshchahivka community  76,5 million litres, as well as in Boryspil and Bila Tserkva communities  57,7 and 56,1 million litres, respectively.

The highest average daily volume of fuel sold per gas station was recorded in the Gatne community  11,1 thousand litres per day*. As of the end of 2023, the number of valid fuel retail licences in the region was 9, and a total of 36,47 million litres of fuel were sold during the year. The community is located near Kyiv city, and most of the gas stations are located along the Kyiv — Odesa highway. These stations belong to OKKO, SOCAR, UPG, Marshal, Avantage7 and others.

The next two largest indicators belong to the Chabany and Dmytriv communities, each with 7 licensed units, selling an average of 10,2 and 9,6 thousand litres per day* per station respectively. The regions are also close to Kyiv, with their gas stations located along the Odesa and Zhytomyr highways, respectively.
