In 6 months of 2023, specialists of Ukrburgaz, Ukrgazvydobuvannya JSC, which is part of the Naftogaz Group, drilled more than 157 th m to produce Ukrainian gas. This is a record six-month figure for the past 15 years. This was reported by the Naftogaz press service.
"Despite the war, we not only continue to drill new wells, produce natural gas, and fill underground gas storage facilities but also work on increasing production rates," said the head of Naftogaz Oleksiy Chernyshov.
In April 2023, a new record was also set for monthly drilling - 32.4 th m.
"I want to sincerely thank our specialists who continue their work despite all the difficulties of the war. They continued to drill in March 2022, and they are doing it now for the sake of Ukraine's energy security," stressed Oleksiy Chernyshov.
In general, more than 112 th m were operational drilling and 44.5 th m were exploratory drilling.
It will be recalled that since the beginning of the year, UGV put into operation 11 highly productive wells with a daily output of more than 100 tcm of natural gas per day, which made it possible to increase production compared to last year.
