Tariffs for the transit of Russian oil through the territory of Ukraine will be increased by 25% from June 1, Interfax reports with reference to the statement of Transneft.
According to the report, the new tariff for pumping through the Druzhba oil pipeline in the direction of Slovakia and Hungary under the contract with Ukrtransnafta JSC will be €17/t from June. Previously, the tariff was €13.6/t. It was effective from January 1, 2023, when it was increased by 18.3%.
In an interview at the end of last year, the President of Transneft, Nikolai Tokarev, reported that the supply of oil in this direction in 2023 is expected to be at the level of 2022. "The southern branch of Druzhba, which transports oil through the territory of Ukraine to Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and Hungary, remains at the same volume as exceptions have been made for them, and they will consume the volumes they consumed - about 12 million tons," Tokarev noted.
