Ukrtransnafta, which is part of the Naftogaz Group, will transfer two mooring tugs to the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The board of Naftogaz of Ukraine made the relevant decision, the company said in a statement.
Before the start of the full-scale invasion, maneuverable tugs "Lviv" and "Ukrtransnafta" were used during the mooring of tankers with oil at the Pivdenny Marine Oil Terminal.
Both vessels were not damaged after the start of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, and are afloat and equipped with the necessary equipment. In particular, they can be used for the introduction of large-sized ships into and out of the port, for mooring and unmooring of ships, for ship canting, towing of port barges, and other floating objects, says Naftogaz.
"Supporting our military remains among the main issues on the agenda of our enterprises. We are constantly analyzing how our resources can be used to strengthen the defense forces of Ukraine and we are trying to be involved in supporting the military with everything that can be useful for them now," said Oleksiy Chernyshov, the chairman of the board.
