Ukrgazvydobuvannya JSC (UGV) has drilled 215,4 thousand m since the beginning of the year as of September 5, according to ExPro calculations. This is more than for the whole of last year - 215.2 thousand m. In general, 160.4 thousand m was operational drilling and 55 thousand m was exploratory drilling.
The company continues to actively increase the volume of drilling to increase natural gas production volumes. In total, in 2023, Ukrgazvydobuvannya intends to drill 336 thousand m, 1.5 times more than last year. During this year, it is planned to launch 88 wells, twice as many as last year.
This year's drilling volume is also the largest for such a period (8 months and 5 days) in the last 15 years.
As a result of drilling new wells, the company's natural gas production continues to grow for the 8th month in a row. Thus, in August, the average daily production of Ukrgazvydobuvannya amounted to almost 38.7 mcm, which is the highest level in the last three years. During the first week of September, the average daily production is 39.2 mcm per day, which is the highest level since April 2020.
In 8 months of 2023, according to ExPro calculations, Ukrgazvydobuvannya produced almost 9.1 bcm of natural gas, which is 2.9% more than in the same period last year.
