Ukrgazvydobuvannya JSC (UGV) paid UAH 43.8 billion in rent payments in 2022, as reported by the company's press service. According to the legislation, local budgets receive 5% of rent payments. Thus, UGV paid UAH 2.2 billion to local budgets.

The funds were distributed among 11 regions, and 104 territorial communities of Ukraine, where the company produces gas and liquid hydrocarbons.

"Despite the war and its consequences for the company's activities, Ukrgazvydobuvannya remains a reliable partner of local communities. We fully pay all due taxes and deductions, which are an important source of filling the territorial budgets and providing other necessary assistance. We believe that our contribution will contribute to the faster recovery of the regions, cities, and villages affected by the war and will help people to survive all the trials more easily," said Oleg Tolmachev, Acting Director of UGV.

Rent payments paid by UGV are distributed among the regions as follows:

  • Kharkiv region - UAH 1.03 billion
  • Poltava region – UAH 951.7 million
  • Lviv region - UAH 100.9 million
  • Dnipropetrovsk region - UAH 53.5 million
  • Others - UAH 54.6 million

The amount of rent payments is calculated according to the sale price of natural gas of Ukrgazvydobuvannya in favor of Naftogaz of Ukraine NJSC.

In general, Naftogaz paid almost UAH 100 billion to the state budget in 2022. "Despite the full-scale war and severe destruction of our infrastructure, we paid funds to the budget on time and in full," Naftogaz said.
