Specialists of Ukrgazvydobuvannya JSC (UGV), which is part of the Naftogaz Group, carried out overhauling of the well in the east of the country, thanks to which the daily production from it increased from almost zero to 160 tcm of gas and 57 tons of condensate. This was reported by the press service of the UGV.
During the overhaul, the well was transferred to the overlying horizon, as the previous formation has already been exhausted. The deposit on which the well is operating has already yielded more than 85% of the original hydrocarbon reserves in 30 years of operation.
"In order to achieve the goal of increasing gas production, we not only drill new wells but also work on increasing the efficiency of the old ones. This well is a good example of how a well-planned and executed capital repair operation can not only give a second life to a well but also ensure a high level of production from it," commented the acting general director of UGV Oleg Tolmachev.
