At a meeting on January 24, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine appointed the Supervisory Board of Naftogaz of Ukraine.

According to the publication, Rostyslav Shurma and Nataliya Boyko became state representatives in the Supervisory Board. Anfinnsen Tor Martin, Marino Anthony, Hookway Richard, and Ludo Van der Heyden were elected as independent members.

Rostislav Shurma is the acting deputy head of the Office of the President from November 23, 2021. From July 30, 2012, to November 25, 2019, he was the general director of the Zaporizhstal plant.

Natalia Boyko was a state representative in the former Naftogaz Supervisory Board in 2019-2021. Boyko is also on the Supervisory Board of the state enterprise "Prozorro.Sales".

Anfinnsen Tor Martin (Norway) has 31 years of experience at the Norwegian state-owned mining company Equinor, where he rose from sales manager to senior vice president. He is a senior advisor at the Boston Consulting Group consulting company, and a member of the supervisory boards of 5 companies, including the international energy trader Danske, Eurogas, and the Dublin Bay Power gas power plant.

Marino Anthony (USA, Canada) has 38 years of experience in the oil and gas industry from engineer to president and CEO. Since 2012, he has been the executive director, and since 2016, the president and general director of Vermilion Energy. Previously worked on the supervisory boards of 6 companies.

Hookway Richard (UK) has 37 years of experience in hydrocarbon trading and finance, including 33 years at BP, as CFO of a number of business divisions, and as COO of the IT solutions and supply chain management group. He worked as a director on the board of directors of the French nuclear generation company EDF, is a member of the supervisory boards of the world's leading oil storage company Royal Vopak N.V., the retail energy company Parkland Corp and the UK Atomic Energy Agency (UKAEA).

Ludo Van der Heyden (Belgium), received a Ph.D. from Yale University (1979), professor at the INSEAD business school (France), researcher, and teacher with 42 years of experience in teaching strategy and corporate management, including 9 years at Yale University and 33 years at INSEAD, is a member of the supervisory boards of 5 companies and business associations. Has more than 20 years of continuous work with oil and gas companies.

One may remind that from September 27, 2021, the Naftogaz Supervisory Board will be absent due to the termination of the powers of all its members. The Cabinet of Ministers performed the functions of the Supervisory Board as its shareholder.

At the beginning of December, the Ministry of Energy announced an open competitive selection for the position of independent members of the Naftogaz Supervisory Board. In the memorandum with the IMF, Ukraine undertook to appoint the Supervisory Board by the end of January 2023.
