The Czech trading company Gulans Energy has undergone significant changes, including a name change to AF Power Group, as per documents filed with the Public Registers Information System of the Czech Ministry of Justice.

The decision to change the company's name was made during the general meeting of Gulans Energy s.r.o. (Registration Number: 02894254, Address: Ostrovní 126/30, Nové Město, 110 00 Praha) on February 1, 2024. The new name is AF Power Group s.r.o., with Aleksey Fesik, one of the company's owners, voting in favor of the decision.

On July 14, 2023, Oleksii Fesyk, a citizen of Ukraine, acquired 80% of the company's shares, previously owned by Latvian citizen Armands Gulans. Later, on September 21, 2023, Armands Gulans resigned from his position as the company's executive director. As of September 22, 2023, the authorized persons of the company are Oleksii Fesyk and Yaroslav Rys.

Additionally, open data reveals that Arthur Gulans has held 20% of the company's shares since September 2022, with no familial ties established among the Gulans.

It's noteworthy that Oleksii Fesyk, the owner of the controlling stake in the renamed company AF Power Group, is also a beneficiary of Czech company AF Energy Trading s.r.o. and Ukrainian company AF Energy Ukraine LLC, both established in March 2019.

Gulans Energy, now known as AF Power Group, is recognized among Ukrainian oil market participants for its distribution of liquefied petroleum gas from EU countries, particularly Poland, Lithuania, and Latvia. Importers report that transactions with Gulans Energy accounted for over 2% of LPG supplies to Ukraine in 2023. The company has offered gas from various bases in Eastern Europe and the Balkans, including Polish terminals in Sokółka, Narewka, Bialystok, and Malaszewicz, as well as Latvian Daugavpils and Lithuanian Kaunas, which are key hubs for transshipment of Russian liquefied petroleum gas via wide-gauge rail.

Importers note that Gulans Energy's commercial operations are overseen by Russian Ivan Khodov, a former employee of SIBUR, one of Russia's largest LPG producers.

«Ivan is a highly skilled trader. His price list consistently offers a range of options from different countries, accompanied by the necessary documentation, ensuring transparent supply chains», – says one importer.

Gulans Energy's major contractors from 2023 to 2024 include Avantage7, KLO, WOG, and UNTK.
