Naftogaz Group CEO Oleksiy Chernyshev met with Deputy Prime Minister of Slovakia Denisa Sakova, Acting Speaker of the Parliament Peter Ziga, as well as representatives of the largest energy companies in Slovakia during his working visit to Bratislava on August 27, 2024, the company's press service reports.
During the visit, they discussed cooperation to strengthen common energy security and Ukraine's role in this. In particular, they discussed ensuring a stable supply of energy resources to Slovakia and Central and Eastern Europe in general.
“First of all, I would like to thank Slovakia for its comprehensive support of our country. Ukraine remains a reliable partner of European countries and faithfully fulfills all its obligations on energy transportation. At the same time, our priority today is to implement new solutions to ensure the energy security of our countries. We are talking about new potential suppliers and, in the future, the export of Ukrainian fuel,” said Oleksiy Chernyshov.
In addition, the Head of Naftogaz Group emphasized that Slovak partners highly appreciate Ukraine's potential for natural gas exports and will welcome its early start.
